What is Japan without a ninja? The ninja is one of the most popular images of Japan, especially among teenagers but their appeal extends much futher than teenagers. The ninja are know for their stealth and in Japan legends abound about their almost magical skill of doing the seemingly impossible. Of course many children are familiar with ninjas because of the famous animation series - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The ninja star is also a very famous weapon and is called "shuriken" in Japanese.
